Turkmentel-2011: cooperation in high tech sector

The Turkmentel-2011 V International Exhibition of telecommunications, telemetry, information technologies and TV and radio broadcasting equipment the International Conference “Turkmenistan and World Information and Telecommunication Technologies” was opened in the Turkmen capital. The forum is organized by the Ministry of Communications and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The main goal of the large-scale sectoral forum is to showcase the achievements of the rapidly developing industry of information technologies, telecommunications and TV and radio broadcasting equipment and provide a platform for exchanging experiences in using latest world developments in this sphere. The intense interest in the Ashgabat international exhibition shown by the international business community conditioned by the high prestige of the country which actively integrates in the global political and economic space is illustrated by impressive representation of forum participants.

Over 90 participants including the subdivisions of the Ministry of Communication and foreign manufacturers from many countries on the Eurasian continent, including the UK, France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Russia, Turkey, Iran, Hong Kong, Lithuania and Kazakhstan are represented at the large-scale exposition at the Exhibition Centre.
The ceremony of opening the international exhibition brought together the cabinet ministers, deputies of the Mejlis, heads of Turkmen ministries and departments and diplomatic missions accredited to Turkmenistan, foreign businessmen, journalists, numerous guests and citizens to the Turkmen capital.

The Turkmen leader’s welcome address to forum participants was presented during the opening ceremony. President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that modern telecommunication systems played a significant role in the social and economic progress.
The Turkmen leader noted that the measures had been taken in the country to apply high technologies in the telecommunications system, lay optic fibre long-haul communication lines, extend the cellular communications system, connect educational institutions in the country to the Internet and supply them with multimedia and interactive equipment.

The anniversary forum has become a vivid illustration of Turkmenistan’s achievements in the information technology and telecommunications sphere and the panorama of new trends and prospects for development of this sector. Advanced developments and innovations are presented in the thematic sections such as information technologies, telecommunications, telemetry and measuring equipment, wireless and broadband communications, professional audio- and video recording equipment, cable products and accessories, operators of services systems, special equipment and logistics.
The subdivisions of the Ministry of Communication including the state telecommunications companies, including Turkmentelekom, Teleradiomerkezi, Turkmenpochta, Altyn Asyr present their expositions at the Exhibition Centre. The expositions of Turkmen postal and telecommunications specialists demonstrate a wide range of services in the spheres of cable and cellular communications, electronic data transmission via telecommunications networks, quality broadcasting of national TV and radio programmes as express post inside the country and abroad. Turkmen entrepreneurs, who successfully operate in the information and computer technologies market, offer a wide range of services. Among them are Advis, Sypayy, Imdat Electronica, Sitcom, Alt, Turkmen-innovaziya, Turkmen Akaba, Ak Sim, Nursecme, Niyet-optics and the others.

The representation of foreign exhibition participants is impressive; the largest satellite and cellular communications operators, Internet providers, distributors and world’s producers. The long-term partners who have the profound experience in implementing the comprehensive programmes in the communications and telecommunications sectors such as Nokia Siemens Networks and Rohde & Schwarz, which are the leaders in manufacturing test equipment for DVBT2 digital television (Germany), Hermes Company which offers satellite communication services (UK), THALES (France), TeliaSonera (Sweden), Prima Telecom (Russia), HUAWEI Technologies (China). They present state-of-the-art computer, networking, optical, digital television equipment, information technologies and software in their pavilions. Lithuanian Satgate, SID Baltik Ceo, Alna Group, Doglogix, NRD and others present their developments in the sphere of electronic document management.

The International Conference “Turkmenistan and World Information and Telecommunication Technologies” focusing on critical aspects of development of the industry and the constructive and fruitful dialogue with all partners interested was held in the conference hall of the Exhibition Centre. Renowned scientists and specialists, managers and heads of business companies exchanged views on such issues as development of telecommunications systems, broadcasting and information technologies, information transmission, management of broadband communications, electronic document management technologies and automation of management processes, the Internet and wireless connection, investment opportunities in the mobile and fixed communications sector.
The reports focused on the most promising vectors of cooperation and spotlighted the partners’ willingness to act in mutual interests and in compliance with the state development priorities of Turkmenistan.

The International exhibition and conference will close on September 16.

 


Turkmentel-2011: connecting to the world for the benefit of the Motherland

The Turkmentel-2011 V International Exhibition of telecommunications, telemetry, information technologies and TV and radio broadcasting equipment closed in the Turkmen capital. The forum was organized by the Ministry of Communications and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan.
The annual exhibition of telecommunication equipment, technologies and services held in the year of the 20th anniversary of independence of Turkmenistan aroused the keen interest among numerous participants, guests and visitors who had an opportunity to learn more about achievements in the sphere of communications and TV and radio broadcasting, information technologies and communications.

The world’s leading producers, designers and suppliers of high-tech equipment, communication services and software from Germany, Sweden, France, Austria, Israel, Cyprus, Russia, Turkey, Lithuania and other countries presented their products and achievements at the exhibition. Among them are the long-term partners which closely collaborate with Turkmenistan in implementing the comprehensive programmes in the sectors of communications, TV and radio broadcasting and digital broadcasting and establishing the data terminal such as Rohde & Schwarz, Alcatel-Lucent, TeliaSonera, THALES, Gilat Satellite Networks, Nokia Siemens Networks, Hermes, Eurasiatrans, HUAWEI Technologies, Penki kontinentai, Satgate, Prima Telekom, Gazprom Space Systems Ltd. and others.

The transition to electronic document management in our country is an important task set to the Turkmen communications sector.
The InfoBalt Association of the Lithuanian companies willing to strengthen their positions at the promising Turkmen market presented the concept of rendering services in this sphere, effective developments and innovations and complex solutions to development of the information monitoring and state register systems.

Turkmen entrepreneurs, who successfully work on the market of information and computer technologies and services, including the sphere of technical network service, TV and radio broadcasting, video surveillance and security systems, closely collaborate with the state-run enterprises and foreign business partners. The expositions of more than 20 economic societies and private enterprises, including АDVIS, Sypayy, Imdat Elektronika, Sitcom, Alt, Turkmen-innovatsia, Turkmen akaba, Ak Sim, Nursechme, Niyet-optic, Sony-Nur and the others demonstrated a significant contribution made by Turkmen entrepreneurs to developing and bringing the national telecommunications sector, the cellular and mobile communication systems, the Internet network to a higher level in the country.

It should be noted that the transport subdivisions, which use the highly sensitive radio navigation and traffic monitoring systems and other state-of-the-art equipment to operate effectively and manage motor, railway and air traffic actively participated in the international forum.
Within the framework of the exhibition foreign guests had business talks and meetings with Turkmen counterparts. The presentations of the promising options of development of the telecommunication and information technology system turned into a lively discussion of proposals and new prospects for cooperation.

The International Conference “Turkmenistan and World Information and Telecommunication Technologies” was held in the conference hall of the Exhibition Centre within the framework of the Turkmentel-2011 V International Exhibition. Renowned scientists and specialists, managers and heads of business companies put forward their ideas and business proposals and exchanged views on the current state, the prospects for developing key branches of the communication sectors and important aspects of cooperation and expertise and identified the forms of further cooperation and investment.
The international exhibition and conference became a new step to foster and broaden effective business contacts with foreign partners and multifaceted trade and economic cooperation.
The forum was concluded with the ceremony of awarding diplomas and certificates to participants.

The Turkmentel-2011 V International Exhibition of telecommunications, telemetry, information technologies and TV and radio broadcasting equipment adopted the Address to President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
